It”s Gold Quill Awards season again at IABC. The Call for Entries for the 2011 contest has been mailed to members and is also available online. With the early-bird deadline in January fast approaching, this is a great time to look at Gold Quill in detail.

In this Cafe2Go interview, 2011 Gold Quill Awards Chair Melissa Dark, ABC, explains what the Gold Quill Awards are and tells Cafe2Go host Neville Hobson, ABC, what the primary benefits are of winning a Gold Quill Award.

She explains what the judges look for in an award-winning entry and describes IABC”s mentorship program that pairs past winners, judges and ABCs with any communicator who hasn”t previously won a Gold Quill Award.

Finally, Melissa offers a few tips and advice to members thinking about entering for the 2011 awards.
