Cafe2Go #73: Russell Grossman, Chair of the World Conference Program Advisory Committee

Monday, May 9th, 2011 by Neville Hobson, ABC

Helping you maximize your IABC conference experience is a primary objective of two key sessions at the World Conference next month – the conference orientation workshops on Sunday June 12 and Monday June 13 led by Russell Grossman and Karen Susman.

If this is your first IABC conference experience, you will find either of these workshops invaluable. In this interview Russell Grossman, Chair of the World Conference Program Advisory Committee, explains what participants will gain from participating in an orientation workshop including how to plan your conference day, capture the learning effectively and enjoy yourself at the same time; and learn face-to-face networking skills that will give you a head start on connecting with other conference attendees.

Russell also talks about the work of the Program Advisory Committee – comprising IABC volunteers in ten countries – and its clear focus on ensuring that the content of the World Conference matches the expectations of IABC members who attend. He concludes the conversation with some advice and tips on getting the most out of the conference with pre-event planning before you get to San Diego.
